Enjoying the Simple Pleasures of Life, While Living in a Complicated World

An Afternoon in August~Antiquing in the St. Croix River Valley

This last Sunday, the weather was beautiful and it was far too nice to remain indoors. It was a perfect day for strolling through antique shops and second-hand stores; in search of wonderful things to use in photographs throughout the book I’m writing, and when entertaining family & friends. In fact, I found several lovely things… at great prices!

Lovely set of table linens in pristine condition~ a vintage, cutwork tablecloth and four matching napkins.

A cheery Sadler tea pot.

A beautiful set hand-blown glasses~8 of each size.

I can picture serving a lovely, chocolate mousse, or a delicious fruit cobbler with fresh, whipped cream in the champagne goblet!
