Annie’s Foccacia Pizza’s

When you don’t have time to make pizza crust, and crave a pizza~ foccacia pizza’s are perfect to make anytime of day!

~Annie’s Foccacia Pizza’s~

Ingredients

1- large, round foccacia bread, split across the middle to make two ‘crusts’
1/2 pound of mozzarella cheese, grated
Pizza sauce (I used Trader Joe’s)

Toppings:
Fresh Basil Leaves
Black olives
Green olives
Mushrooms
Artichokes
Bacon
Canadian Bacon
Pineapple
Sausage
Pepperoni
Parmesan cheese
Feta Cheese
Sauted Onions or Green Peppers


1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Prepare foccacia by splitting it across the middle. I used foccacia rolls, perfect for individual pizza (purchased from Bread Art Bakery, in Bayport).

2. Spread pizza sauce (I used Trader Joe’s) generously over the surface of the focaccia.

3.  Add toppings: we added black olives and Canadian bacon; topped with lots of mozzarella cheese.

4. Place in preheated 375 degree oven for 5-10 minutes, or until cheese is nicely melted.

Serve immediately! Enjoy!

You can also prepare all of the ingredients ahead, and have them ready! Foccacia pizza’s are great for a snack, a meal or appetizer!
