Enjoying the Simple Pleasures of Life, While Living in a Complicated World

Note to Self: Remember to Remove the Lens Cap…

My oldest brother, Jim, was well-known for his love of photography, and he documented his travels around the world through a camera lens. During the late 1950’s, he single-handedly captured cultural life in Africa, that has since disappeared….

I admired his  photographs, and once computers became the way of the future for photography- I wanted to master the ability to create beautifully composed pictures without the need of a dark room.

Jim directed me to Adobe PhotoShop and one day when he was visiting Minnesota, we sat down at the computer and he gave me a  2-hour personal lesson in using this remarkable software.

I miss you, Jim!
